CARDINAL VILLAGE RESORT

BISHOP CABINS

Welcome to the second happiest place on earth! Nestled in the Eastern side of the Sierra National Forest, our Bishop cabins at Cardinal Village Resort are surrounded by stunning natural beauty. Located near the tiny community of Aspendell, a historic village built at the turn of the century to serve the gold mine nearby, our historic Bishop cabins offer a unique experience. Our resort is bordered to the west by Bishop creek with a picturesque pond teaming with trophy trout at the east end of the property. Each one of our cabins offers views of Cardinal Rock, a picnic area, firepit, and suitable amenities to make your stay more comfortable.

WINTER CABINS

Have you ever wanted to live a weekend in a Hallmark movie? We have an opportunity that is about as close as you can get! We are currently in our off-season at Cardinal Village Resort, but we will have 4 (Loch Leven, Moonlight, Thunder, and Lightning) cabins available to rent during the winter months. Your stay is sure to be more quiet than the summertime bustle. Our General Store and Cardinal Cafe will be closed. If snow occurs during your stay, there is no need to worry about road conditions (although we wouldn’t recommend a Prius for transport). The state plows Highway 168 all the way up until the closed gate leading to Sabrina Lake (about 1/4 of a mile past the Cardinal Village Resort turn-off), and the county plows Cardinal Rd. all the way to the entrance of the resort. It’s the perfect opportunity to get away and slow down with a winter stay in a cabin in the woods.
